If we talk about exclusive locations in the center of the capital, we usually think of ‘El Retiro’ and ‘Los Jerónimos’. The combination of such locations drives to maximum sophistication and refinement in terms of stately properties.Moreover,  if we combine that mixture with a modern interior design project, we come across a unique property, worthy of the most refined and demanding customer, who puts location and representativeness above any other question when it comes to choose his home.This stunning family apartment, located in ‘Los Jerónimos’ offers in its 250 square meters an exceptional home for up to 8 guests, with its 4 double bedrooms, 4 bathrooms and 1 powder room.The building where it sits shows a beautiful classic facade completely renovated, a perfectly preserved manor portal and an antique elevator, of which there are very few left in the city.The apartment enjoys, from its second floor, of very nice views through its balconies, thanks to the great width of ‘Espalter Street’, doted of trees all along.The social area of the apartment retains the size of that centennial property built for one of those well-off families of ‘Villa de Madrid’, who used to demand very ample rooms for their multitudinous receptions.The noble section features four large rooms where hall, lounge, living and dining areas have been positioned in such a way that they can remain open and connected or separate, depending on the occasion, which favors the functionality of the property.A shocking lobby receives the visitor with a well dimensioned hall that anticipates him the lordship of the property he is entering.Its distribution, with the living on the right hand side and the sitting area – apart from the the dining room – on the left, will allow a convenient organization of the spaces.

 

The living room, with two balconies facing the street, has been doted of two regal sofas around a stunning antique mirror coffee table, which reinforces the natural light of the room, under an original set of circular mirrors on the main wall. In the hallway that connects with the kitchen and the private area rests a cute powder room for guests, allowing thus total privacy in the rest of the property.

Next to the functional kitchen, a bedroom with two nest-type-beds (accompanied by a bathroom with shower) will allow you to house the domestic employees or that guest to whom you wish to grant total autonomy.

 

The kitchen has been fully equipped with all kinds of big and small appliances (including dishwasher, washing machine and dryer for clothes).

One of the great advantages of this property is its proximity to the Train/Metro/AVE Station of Atocha, as well as the numerous bus lines which pass just by connecting with most of the districts of the city, specially Salamanca and Center.

 

The Retiro Park, the Prado Museum and the Botanical Garden are just three of the most distinguished neighbors of this privileged property, that will allow its visitors to enjoy the most aristocratic and monumental part of Madrid, since it is just by a great number of famous museums and monuments, apart from the main ‘lung’ of the city.
